Why You Should Blog to Make Money Online in 2012

In this article, I am going to be discussing why you should be blogging to make money online in 2012, but unlike a lot of articles, my focus isn’t simply the benefits of blogging like being being able to generate a residual income on autopilot, being able to create several income sources from the same blog or being able to work around your own schedule.  I am going to go deeper and look into why it’s even become necessary to blog to make money online in 2012 in the first place when you’ve followed all the rules.  I will also provide you with a recommendation so that you can get more info and start your own blog.

From the time you are little, society tells us that in order to be successful, you need to go to college so that you can get a job and support yourself.  After doing this myself and seeing so many friends and family do the same thing, I realized something — our educational system and societal norms set us up for failure!  It’s all a big, fat lie to keep poor people poor and rich people rich!  I’m sure some of you are thinking, “That’s just crazy talk.”  If it’s so crazy, why do the majority of people who choose to educate themselves and get jobs live little better than people living off the government and/or those with no education and wonder if they’ll be able to retire after 40+ years?!?

That’s because everything you were taught to believe is a lie.  The real way to live a successful life is to find your passion, find a way to turn your passion into money, and the work your butt off.  Be entrepreneurial.  Don’t rely on others to give you opportunities, create them for yourself!   Just take a look at celebrities, for example  They are the ones who have all the money and power.  They find their passions, study up and invest in themselves, and turn their passions into money.  If you want what they’ve got, you need to copy what they are doing!  This is why you should blog to make money online in 2012.

Having a blog allows the average person, regardless of walk of life, to be able to create opportunities for themselves by making money on the internet by writing about things that you are already passionate about and enjoy.  For example, if you are into health and fitness, you can create a blog about exercise programs and products you have tried.  In addition to writing product reviews and getting found in the search engines, you could also write articles and give tips based on your own experience and more.  It’s something you can do around your schedule.  Once you put it out there, you will continue to earn money from it.

Blogging to make money online in 2012 is like having your piece of the American dream.  It’s allowing you to put yourself in the driver’s seat of your life and take control of your financial future.  All you need is the right training to kick start your online journey.  For this, I suggest you check out Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton.  They teach you everything you need to know from start to finish in order to be able to blog to make money online in 2012 and beyond– without all the fluff and BS (no fake software).  Click the link below to learn more about what Unstoppable Affiliate can do for you.

What Affiliate Marketing Is & How It Works

Affiliate marketing is when you, the affiliate, promote other people’s products in exchange for a commission made on every sale.  The reason companies are willing to pay you a commission is because it saves the person or company money and time in terms of advertising costs, having to hire a staff of people and things of this nature.  In addition, every time you, the affiliate, makes a sale, the customer is added to the company’s list of buyers so that it can promote to them over and over again down the line.

Learn the Best Way to Make Money Online in 2012 – Start Now!

In this article, you’ll not only discover the best way to make money online in 2012 but why it works, will continue to do so, what’s in it for you (benefits) and what you can do to jump start your online career now so that by the time the 2012 new year comes around, you’ll already have everything up and running and be making money and really ring in the new year while everyone else is scratching their heads trying to figure out what you’re doing so they can get to where you’re at.  It’s a definite confidence-booster.

What’s the Best Way to Make Money Online in 2012?

So you want to know how to make real money online for the upcoming year (and perhaps before depending on when you read this)?  The answer is with something called a niche blog on which you will sell other people’s products (affiliate marketing) and more.  A niche blog is one that focuses on a particular theme like dating, weight loss, cooking, gardening, learn Spanish, toys, video games…and usually contains both product reviews and articles on related topics within your chosen market.  Your niche should be one that is both profitable and one that you enjoy.

Why is a Niche Blog the Best Way to Make Money Online in 2012?

The method of using a niche blog via affiliate marketing has been around for more than a decade.  The reason it works (and has lasted so long) is because it’s based on legitimate business principles — just like in the offline world –of finding profitable niches (groups of people having a problem and willing to pay for a solution) and meeting their needs by providing them with a solution, based on what they are searching for.  The only difference i the medium through which you promote products (via the internet).

The search engines love niche blogs because, unlike standard websites, they are a way to provide relevant, up-to-date content on any topic imaginable to the end-user based on what they want.  This is the ultimate goal of any search engine and why Google has stayed on top for as long as it has.  The incorporation of social media sites, which are common on blogs, have only improved this experience.  They are like little communities.

Benefits of a Niche Blog in 2012 – What’s in it For You?

*Earn money for writing about things you are passionate about.

*Generate residual income – Work once and continue to profit from it without extra work.

*Generate multiple streams of income from the same blog (search engines, e-mail marketing, selling ad space, forum marketing…)

*Work around your own schedule – no need to sit in front of the computer all day.

*Great for holiday promotitions and getting ranked for stuff before it’s released/advertised on t.v. = $$$

Tips on How to Write Product Reviews For Affiliate Cash

As a blogger, not only do I like to write, but I like to write everything myself.  Firstly, I think it’s due to pride.  If I don’t do it myself, I have to rely on someone else to do it, and I don’t like that because it’s like you have no real skill.  When the person you rely on to do something isn’t there, you’re in trouble.  Secondly, I am also cheap.  🙂

It wasn’t until I was browsing a popular internet marketing forum today that I realized how many people can’t write–or don’t know how–especially when it comes to writing product reviews.  It, like everything else in IM, is a learned skill.  You don’t have to be a world-class writer.  This aint English class.  Anywho, here are some tips:

1. Keep your titles no more than 60 characters, including spaces.  That’s all most search engines read.  If you don’t, the person who comes across your page in the search engines will see [Title Page…]  It doesn’t look good.

2. Your main keyword should also be in your title.  You can get found for multiple keywords by the search engines if they are in the title in the right order.  For example, if you have a title page that’s [product name review – is it a scam], you can get ranked for [product name review, product name scam, is product name a scam, is product name a scam]

3. Depending on the nature of the product, include the product creator’s name.  Lots of people search [author name + product name to bring back the most relevant result.  This can bring a lot of traffic because lots of people don’t do it – just have to watch character length (60 max).

4. Your reviews should be between 400 -450 words.  People are lazy and don’t like to read (usually skim) so if you write much more than that, your conversions will suffer.  You need to be concise yet still be able to answer any probing questions they have about the product.  Also, your main keyword should show up once for every 100 words or so (1%).  You get your keywords in there without looking spammy.

5. You come up with actual content by figuring out what the most common questions about the products in your niche are.  The Google instant feature can help you with this.  Look up some popular products in your niche.  Take a note of the questions people are asking related to them.  I use these as sub headings and bold them.  Then, answer the question.  This allows people to get the info they want and make a purchase quicker.

These are just some of my tips.  To learn more about content writing and how various ways to get tons of traffic (need to learn how to bring in traffic to make money), I invite you to click the link below.  Just in case you’re wondering, there’s NO software, and the sales page tells you exactly what you are going to get — tons of videos and more…

The Only Course You’ll Need on Traffic

Benefits of Outsourcing and Idea For Income Source

Recently, for the first time ever, I had something outsourced for my blog on Fiverr (a specific kind and hard-to find of backlinks.  I had never used Fiverr before but didn’t know how to find/do what I needed for myself.  Also, when you get gigs or jobs done on Fiverr, there is a flat rate of $5.00 (cheap, right)?  I also noticed that a lot of the people on there (at least the ones I came across), were foreign, so $5.00 usually translated  more in their home currency, which I liked because some of the jobs some of the people were willing to do would cost way more than $5.00, if they were in the States.  They would be getting a fair price in their home currency.

Because I had never used it before, I was careful to find someone with plenty of experience and positive feedback before I worked over my money.  Even after I paid the person, I still didn’t like the fact that I paid someone to do something I didn’t know how to do.  I did, however, learn something important from the experience.  Not only does outsourcing save time, but when you choose the right worker, they will provide you with a report of the work they did so that you have all the info you need to duplicate what they did.  I, for example, will know exactly where I need to go to get the specific type of backlink I need and won’t have to pay someone to do it for.  It was so totally worth it!

I am actually thinking about posting a gig myself just to see how it goes.  I have to think of a gig that doesn’t take up too much time, though.  I heard that when you sell on Fiveer, you don’t get the whole $5 because Paypal, the payment processor, gets a slice, and that your gigs have to be approved, and that you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can receive your first payment.  However, any income is good income in my book.

Can’t Stand Google Instant – How to Turn It Off

As an internet marketing who specializes in Search Engine Optimization (getting seen in the search engines without using paid tactics like pay-per-click and things of the like), I love Google.  However, one thing I can’t stand is the Google Instant feature–where the most common keywords show up in the search box as you are typing for whatever you happen to be looking for at the time.  Although this does have it’s advantages, I find it distracting.  Here is how you  can shut it off.

1. Go to Google.com.

2. If you happen to have a gmail account, sign in.  This will change your personal preferences.

3. Click on the icon on the top, right-hand side of the screen that looks like a little mouse wheel.

4. Scroll Down towards the bottom of the page, and find the “Google Instant” section.

5. Make sure to choose the second opt-in button that says, “Do not use Google Instant.”

6. Make sure to save your preferences by clicking on either of the “save your preferences” buttons and the top right or bottom right of the screen.

I Can’t Do It For You…

I get a ton of e-mails and comments from people asking me which route they should take to make money online or which program they should use to achieve their specific goals.  I have  no problem with that.  In fact, I love doing it.  However, what I can’t do is do the work for you.  If you come to me telling me about your situation and I recommend something to you based on what you have told  me, it does you no good to keep coming back to me asking me the same question over again or asking me about this product or that product.  All it does is waste time.

There are a couple of reasons for this.  First, I don’t recommend crap.  Secondly, lots of the stuff out there in the internet marketing space sucks and is a complete waste of money.  The number of quality products out there are few and far between, so my answer isn’t going to change.  When it comes to making money online, there is a learning curve, which is to say that you are going to have to put forth the time and effort to learn some stuff, and it is going to take some work.  You will then have to implement what it is that you learn.

When it comes to internet marketing, you have to have somewhat of an “entrepreneurial spirit” and and a self-motivator.  That’s why it’s crucial that you find a niche market to go into that is not only profitable but you are interested in, amongst other things.  I have come to realize that this internet marketing thing isn’t for everyone.  I have friends and family members that now what I do and know that make real money doing what I do.  They need money.  Yet, they would rather complain and be broke rather than put forth the time and energy it takes to do this.  I can’t do it for you…

What You Should Know Before You Make Money Online with Youtube

As you may or may not know, Youtube is a great way to get traffic to your site or offer.  Youtube has a Google page rank of 9 out of 10 and is the number 3 most visited site on the web, according to Alexa.  This means that when you post a video on Youtube, you will not only get traffic from the site itself (as long as you title and tag your video properly), but it will also help get you ranked in the search engines–when you include a link to your site.

Recently however, Youtube has been making some changes that could significantly impact your efforts, especially if all you do is post videos to video-sharing sites.  A number of my internet marketing friends (some of them high-profile) that work in the internet marketing niche have informed me that they have had their accounts banned due to the fact they had keywords like “make money online” in the titles, descriptions, and titles of their videos.  Some had 100’s of videos and years worth of content!

I decided to check out Youtube and see for myself.  Sure enough their accounts had been banned and all their videos gone.  I know of one or two who have been able to get their accounts restored, but I’m not sure exactly how they did it or how long it took.  I have other friends who have tweeted and sent e-mails to customer service to no avail.  So, if you are in the IM niche and want to put videos on your site, upload them to your own server.

Oh, when I was doing searches on Youtube, I noticed that accounts/videos with keywords like “make money with Clickbank” or “Make money with Google adsense” were still okay for now.  I don’t know how long that’s gonna last, though, so if you’re into creating videos, I not sure I would take the chance in finding out.

The Key to Making Big Money Online Without a List

When you’re making money online, a lot of people wonder if it’s possible to have big pay days–without having a list, especially since it takes time to learn how to get everything down.   From my personal experience, there are two main components: traffic and up-sells.  When it comes to traffic, it’s not just about the amount of traffic but the quality of traffic.

Once you start getting enough traffic and making sales, pay close attention to those in which people purchase up-sells since some sales pages convert better than others.  Once you start noticing some trends, push those products every way you can.  A good way to do this, especially if you promote internet marketing products, is to pitch a product  of your choice whenever a crappy one comes along.

That way, you will have multiple pages to make money from the same product.  This is especially important if the quality product that you are promoting doesn’t get much traffic itself (happens a lot).  I have also found that when I use this method, people tend to trust my judgment and go with my recommendation, which means my conversion rates are a lot higher than average.  This is the reason quality of traffic is more important than quantity of traffic.  I’ve made hundreds of dollars a day from pages that only get a few hits a day b/c people are always grabbing the up-sells.  It’s also for this reason that my refund rates are really low.

Once people get tired of losing money by falling for all these “pie-in-the-sky” promises, they just want to hear the truth and will stick with a legit program, especially when they feel that they will see success if they stick with it.  There only other option is to stay in their current financial position, so it’s like a no brainer.
