Getting My Butt Back into Gear 2

Hey, guys and girls.  I know it’s been a while.  It took me longer to set up my blog than I originally thought because the domain name registrar I use took longer to connect my domain name and hosting than I thought.  It was a lesson learned because while I know there is a backlog and it can take some time for that stuff to go active, I won’t be waiting until late Friday evening to set up another blog.

Once I finally got things connected, I uploaded my main product review and have begun getting some traffic, which didn’t take long at all.  With that said, I’ve kind of been slacking off when it comes to doing traffic stuff and putting up more content on that blog.  I haven’t made any sales yet, which probably has something to do with the fact I’ve been lazy.  I’m going to get back on the ball tomorrow because I really want to at least pay for the costs of the blog before the end of the month (domain name & product purchase) — might wait until end of month to update you on this.

As for what I am going to be doing on this blog, I’ve had to re-plan what my next review will be because I don’t think the original product I planned on promoting has an affiliate program (Clickbank University).  Someone let me know if this is actually true or not.  Since then, I’ve found one product I can write about tomorrow or over the weekend and a couple coming up in like a week (going to e-mail the product creator to see if I can get more info on one in particular).

One of the products is actually co-created by Peng Joon (creator my Work From No Home and one of my top recommendations).  I think this product is going to be hot — from both a marketing and user perspective.  From what I’ve seen, it looks really good and seems like something even a lazy marketer like me can add to his arsenal as another potential income stream, so I’m really excited about it. 🙂

Until next time…

Getting My Butt Back into Gear

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of residual income — instruments that you can produce once (like a blog) but continue to profit from with little to no extra effort. It’s for this reason that I made this awesome game plan at the beginning of the year — to create smaller blogs around niche products outside of the IM niche using Work From No Home to not only generate  passive but quick cash.  Unfortunately, life got in the way.

At the start of the year, I started to all of this medical issues, including a week-long stay in the hospital, that have pretty much been on-going.  However, I am  slowly but surely recuperating (still have appts. and stuff to go to).  With that said, there’s no better motivation to get oneself back into gear than than a pile of forthcoming medical bills (some of which have already arrived).  I’ve not only gotta start updating this blog again (have a plan for some product reviews) but have to start putting up some micro-niche sites as well.

With all of this stuff going on, I’ve tried to look on the positive side of things.  While I’ve been neglecting things for a while (still have been getting smaller-than-normal payments due to the recurring nature of blogs), I’ve still got time to make up for all of the slacking off.  In addition to the reviews I have planned for this blog, I’ve found a product to create a smaller niche site around (won’t tell you the product but will say that it’s selling, pays out well but hasn’t yet peaked). While there is some competition, there’s not so much that I don’t think I can’t profit from it — especially if it really begins to take off.

I plan to purchase the product tomorrow and to have laid the foundation for the blog and to have the main review page up (most important part as it’s where the commissions will come from) within the next two days or so.  Once I get the main page done, I’m going to start tracking stuff (to see how long it takes to make the first commission from the site and stuff like that — fun for me).  I’ll have to make approx. 3 sales to cover the costs of the product and the domain name (not including up-sells).  The final step will pretty much be to crank out some articles and do traffic stuff to beef up the site.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.  Due to how the product is performing and the niche the product is in, I’m really hoping that it will be a “winner.”  Since it’s still early in the year, it could bring me in a lot of money — fingers crossed!

2014 Internet Marketing Gameplan

With the year coming to a close, I thought I’d share with you my internet marketing plans for the upcoming year.  Due to some medical issues (and just being plain lazy), I haven’t done much of anything over the past month or so.  I don’t want to fall into the same trap in 2014, so the first thing I did was to tally up all my money from this year and set a new money goal for myself (more than double the amount of this year, want something I’ll have to work for).

My main focus for the upcoming year is going to employ the use of the Work From No Home model (building micro-niche sites *15 pages of content or less written around a particular product*  in a variety of niche markets outside of IM) to create at least one new site per month.  I’ll also be using the site CB Engine along with it (a database that allows you to search for the most recently-released products and more.

Even though working in the IM niche has become kind of boring for me because of all the crappy products, I’ll still continue to post reviews and stuff since I know there’s an expectation there.  I also have a couple of internet marketing friends that are coming out in the next month or so with some products that I really want to try out.  They’re legit marketers that have been in the game longer than me and really know their stuff.  I think I will learn a lot.

Finally, the thing I may or may not decide to do is get into flipping websites.  I already know of a product I can use, but whether or not I do this really depends on if I meet the goals I’ve set for myself using the Work From No Home model.  This is just what I’m thinking so far.  What are your plans?

Why Taking Surveys Is Not a Good Way to Make Money Online

Today, I was browsing a popular internet marketing forum and came across a tread, where the topic of paid surveys came up.  As someone who started out doing them when I first tried to start making money online, I’m going to tell you about the ins and outs of why getting paid to do surveys is not a good strategy for making money online (had to learn the hard way) as well as provide you with long-term options for generating consistent money online.

Survey sites work by allowing you to sign up for various offers and allowing you to earn credit for doing so.  Once you earn a certain amount of credits, you’re able to turn the credits into money that you can get paid via Paypal or prizes.  The purpose for advertizers doing this is to build their customer base.  Sometimes, you will have to sign up for a trial of a product, and other times, you will actually have to purchase said product in order to earn said credits and thus money.

Here’s what they don’t tell you and why getting paid to take surveys is not such a good idea.  First, some of the companies are scammy and never pay you the credits you are supposed to have earned.  Once they have your credit card info, they will not hasitate to take your money, especially if you forget to cancel a trial or don’t return the product back in the original condition before the trial or refund period has elasped.  You’ll have a heck of a time trying to get your money back.

Furthermore, while they often claim how much money you can earn on a regular basis, they fail to mention that the offers presented to you rarely (if ever) change.  This can go on for months and months or even years.  Since you’re not allowed to re-do an offer once you’ve done it, you have no way of making any more money.  Finally, only one person per household is allowed to complete any one offer, which makes sense if what they want you to do is to buy the product.

What I Recommend Doing Instead

Instead of wasting your time and money on a sort-lived, money-making method that won’t deliver the results you’re hoping for, I suggest that you instead focus on learning business models (ways of making money that can be duplicated over the long term like learning how to become a ghostwriter, where you learn to do research and write content for other marketers and are able to get paid via Paypal or like learning how to create a blog and using it to generate residual income and build multiple income streams from the same blog and more.

2 Simple Ways to Get Fast Traffic to Your Blog

I was checking out one of my favorite internet marketing forums — one way I keep up with what’s going on in the IM space, and I noticed that a bunch of different people kept asking a similar question, so I thought I would do a post about it.  They were basically asking what some tips on getting traffic to their blogs.  We all know how important quality traffic is, so I’ll give you a couple of tips and provide you with a resource to further your learning.

One of the quickest ways to get traffic to a new blog is by finding forums in your niche and putting a link to your blog in the signature file.  The first thing you need to do is to find some forums that get lots of traffic in your niche.  To do this, you can go to Google search and put in “your niche + forums.” Once you’ve found some, you should check out the number of members.  Lots of members equals lots of traffic — talking 10,000+.  You also want to make sure that you add value by interacting with people and answering questions as well.  When people like what you say, they will naturally check out your stuff.

Another simple way to get traffic to your blog is by looking for blogs in your niche.  The easiest way I’ve found to do this is to go to Google search and look for popular product reviews that are in your niche and that consistently out-rank you.  The reason I suggest this is because these people already know what they are doing and usually get lots of traffic.  Blogs like this welcome comments because it helps with the social markers of S.E.O.  Again, it’s important that you make relevant comments.  You should only put your url in the space for the url.  Don’t put it in the message body, or it will look like spam.

To learn more about the ins and outs of blogging and more awesome traffic tips, I recommend that you check out Affiloblueprint 3.0 by Mark Ling.  It’s a comprehensive, 12-week course (can get done faster and work at your own pace) in which you get to watch as the product creator (a real-life, ethical marketer with a long-standing reputation for releasing quality products) shows you how to build a blog from start to finish (using video and other resources), so that you’ll be generating residual income by the end of the course.  Click the link below to learn more.

Affilorama/Affiloblueprint 2013 Birthday Special

As internet marketers, the start of back-to-school through the end of the year tend to be the most profitable for us due to the facts that so many products come out and because people start shopping early for the holidays to save time and money, so if you’re interested in learning how to generate genuine, residual, long-term wealth via affiliate marketing, I’ve got just the thing for you.  This way, you can jump in on the fun rather than just sitting on the sidelines as another profitable holiday season goes by.

Today, I would like to introduce you to a product called Affiloblueprint by someone I consider a mentor of mine (never actually met him in real life) and someone whom I contribute a great deal of my online success to, Mark Ling, founder of Affilorama (company for all his online stuff).  I first heard about Mark some years ago via a popular internet marketing forum, where tons of people seemed to be raving about him and the quality of stuff he put out — a rarity even to this day.  After doing a bit of research, I was shocked to find that he’s a real person.  Everybody was also saying how he’s such a good teacher, too.

After going back and fourth, I decided to get his Affiloblueprint course.  Once I got in, I was taken aback at the fact it was so nice and neat and seemed legit.  There were videos and stuff (before everybody else started doing it, has been updated for 2013) — a big plus for me as I’m a video freak.  Aside from the actual content, I found that I loved the way the course was set up (a lot like a classroom setting) and the fact that he knew what he was doing as he set up a site outside of the IM niche from start to finish within the course — learned and ton and have made lots of money because of him.

If Affiloblueprint sounds like something you’d be interested in, you’ll be happy to know that Mark has a 3-day Affiloblueprint, birthday special going on (from August 30th, 7 p.m., ET to Sept. 2nd, 7 p.m., ET) As part of this celebration, you get full access to the Affiloblueprint course (will put link to review down below, so you can read all about it – don’t forget to bookmark for later) as well as 6 months access to what Mark calls Affilo tools, a suite of really cool tools to help marketers improve their rankings (i.e. track your pages and rankings for specific keywords and lots more) — at more than half of the regular price!

2 Common Ways to Make Money Online by Writing

Today, I want to talk to you about a topic that I have seen that keeps popping up: ways to make money online writing.  In reading, one of the things that I’ve noticed about people that seem to want to make money writing is that not only do they have a passion for it, but they also don’t really care about the hassle of getting ranked in the search engines and all that stuff, so blogging will not be one such option listed here.

1. Ghostwriting.  Lots of writers I know are really into ghostwriting, where they do some research and write content for other marketers.  This is a long-term business model that will never go away because marketers are always needing high-quality content for blogs, autoresponders, sales copy for product creation, e-books to sell as an actual product and more.  It’s endless.  This is also one of the fastest ways to make money and get paid because you get paid via Paypal.  As a ghostwriter, you can also run specials.  Click the link below to learn more to learn more about this model and my recommendation.

2. PLR Store.  PLR stands for Private Label Rights and is content that can be purchased, modified, and used as your own.  This kind of content is sold in packs and can consist of everything thing from article, blog posts, and lots more.  What makes PLR different from ghostwriting is that it is content that is sold to multiple buyers, based on the type of content that they are looking for in the search engines.  For marketers, it’s a cheaper alternative hiring a ghostwriter.  I think of it as kind of a cross between being a ghostwriter and blogging.

Once you put up the content, you will content to generate residual income from it.  Better still is the fact that you get paid via Paypal, and because of the nature of this content, you don’t have to worry about refunds.  Since the product can’t be sent back, most PLR providers don’t have a refund policy.  In addition, you can take requests (via an opt-in form) and run specials — just like you can with ghostwriting.  Click the link below to learn more about this model and a review of my recommendation.
